Sea and Scene

Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity is advertising’s largest event of the year. Kargo annually hosts Sea and Scene, an invitation-only experience at the Hotel Belles Rives on the French Riviera, bringing together industry leaders, brand marketers, partners, and clients. Along with drone shows and fireside chats, the event serves as a key moment for Kargo to establish a strong brand presence through both visual identity and experience.

Inspired by John Baldessari and Pablo Picasso, I created a bold, art-driven direction using colorful dots, handwritten typography, stripes, and collage. The resulting system balances playfulness with sophistication, creating a distinctive and memorable presence across event touch points.

The concept underwent multiple rounds of review with the design team, marketing leadership, and executive stakeholders, including the CEO, COO, and Chief of Staff. My direction was ultimately selected from five competing creative proposals and became the foundation for the event's visual experience.
